The Time of the Wolves begins with a group of refugee women in a war stricken country seeking sanctuary from a pursuing pack of wolves.   One of the group, a young girl, befriends one of the wolves and slowly teaches him to become a man again.  This allegorical work demonstrates how the work of reconstruction after war is often done by women.
